What Causes Warts

Warts can be an especially vexing disorder for someone to have. This is due to the fact that it causes a great deal of humiliation and pain, affecting daily life to varying degrees. As the old adage goes, prevention is easier than cure, but it is often better and attempt and avoid a genital warts infection rather than succumbing to it and then finding care.

The good news is that preventing genital warts is simpler than most people believe. It is only important to understand how the virus progresses, and then it is relatively simple to keep the infection at bay. In nature, it is extremely infectious, and the virus that causes the issue (Human Papillomavirus, or HPV) is transmitted by skin-to-skin contact. As a first step, it is important to understand the signs and then keep a safe distance from someone who exhibits these symptoms. Genital warts, as the term implies, affect both men and women's genitals and the regions surrounding them.

The geographic distribution of genital warts strongly establishes that the virus is largely transmitted by casual or unprotected sexual practices. Condoms, while providing some protection, are not foolproof and they do not have maximum protection. Oral guards used when having oral sex with an infected partner are often insecure. Condoms and other forms of protection, however, can also be used because they significantly increase the degree of protection against genital warts. In the end, the only sure way to avoid genital warts is to avoid further physical contact if one of the partners is sick.

If you have been detected, take responsibility and refrain from having sex until you are fully healed. It is also important to remember that non-sexual touch of the genitals (or the infected areas) facilitates the virus's dissemination. So, before engaging in any such touch, remember to demonstrate reasonable caution. Medicines have recently been discovered to protect women from HPV strains that cause 70% of all cervical cancers and 90% of all genital warts. Women between the ages of 9 and 26 are now prescribed medications. Vaccines are now being researched in order to be administered prior to an actual contamination. Currently, research is being conducted to develop a version of the vaccine that can also be used in males.

Until then, we may have to rely on common sense to protect ourselves from HPV. General risk factors, if avoided, will aid in the prevention of genital warts. Smoking, having multiple sexual partners, engaging in unprotected intercourse, and being exposed to such sexually transmitted diseases are examples of these. Weakened immune systems are also dangerous and easily infected. This highlights yet another advantage of leading a healthier lifestyle. Maintain your fitness, engage in safe sex, and prevent unwanted touch. Genital wart protection can be remarkably simple if these simple instructions are followed. Warts don't have to stymie your progress; handle them now so you can feel better tomorrow.
